Monday - Baking Day!

Monday, Yeah!

pandan cake day
been looking forward

to this day since sunday

didnt wake up early

again, sleepless nite

and all nite blogging

today is a fine day

best for laundry day

so lets get going

no more slacking

went to bangkit

to do some errands

and to pick up

baking ingredients

only started baking

in the late afternoon

so much housework to do

need to set up the new oven
that i bought 1 year back
using for the first time
hopefully will bring me luck

first i must study the recipe

a modified copy

but sorry so messy

only i know how to read :"P

to bowl D
with different ingredients
to add in

so i labelled the bowls
from letters A to D

so many ingredients there are

cream of tartar

is not tartar sauce

cos that's what i thot :"P

coconut milk

is not coconut cream

we needed it watery

not creamy

pandan paste

is not pandan essence

though they both looked green

and the same

so many steps to remember
from whisk to mix

and methods to know

to cut & to fold

all these i tried to follow

i must admit

i try not to be slow

but reading my messy recipe

hahaha even i

cannot follow

finally

all is ready to roll

in goes the mix & mould

now we wait

to see how it goes

20 mins is set

temperature at 180 max

cross my fingers

hopefully my cake will set

hmmmm........

the pandan fragrance

is in the air

at least the smell is correct

out comes the pandan cake

all rised and in shape

it looked ok

hopefully also taste ok

i gave myself 80 marks today

becos i succeeded in the taste

minus 20 goes to the time control

becos the cake was a little wet

near the centre mould
